Menopause doesn’t

Come with a manual

That’s why Menopause HQ™ exists.

Do you ever walk into a room and forget why you’re there?

Or lose a word mid-sentence like it just disappeared?

Do you sleep with the air conditioner on high and the fan blowing — and still wake up hot?

If so, you’re not alone.

Menopause HQ™ was created for women like you and me - women 40+ who are perimenopausal or postmenopausal and trying to make sense of what’s happening in our bodies without being dismissed, overwhelmed, or confused.

Our goal is simple:

To offer support, clarity, and help you become more empowered regarding your own health during this pivotal time in your life.

A little menopause education:

A lot of women are told they’re “in menopause” — without anyone explaining what that actually means.
 Here’s the plain-language version:

Perimenopause:

This is the transition phase leading up to menopause.
Hormone levels — especially estrogen — begin to fluctuate, sometimes wildly.
This phase can last several years and is when most symptoms show up.  For many women, perimenopause begins in the early to mid-40’s.  But for some women (especially minority women), it can begin in the mid- to late 30’s.

Menopause:

Did you know that menopause itself is actually one single day?  It’s just ONE DAY — the day you have gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period.
That’s it. One day.

Post-menopause:

Everything that comes after that one day.
Hormone levels remain lower and more stable, but symptoms can continue — or even appear for the first time — if they were never addressed earlier.

If no one ever explained this to you, you’re not alone.
Most women were never taught the difference.

When your body starts “acting weird”

For many women, this stage of life doesn’t show up gently. It can look like:

  • Brain fog that makes you question yourself

  • Sleep that feels impossible to maintain

  • Anxiety or mood changes you’ve never had before – even anxiety while driving!

  • Weight changes that don’t respond the way they used to

  • Blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar shifting unexpectedly

  • A growing sense that your body is doing things no one warned you about

  • Feeling like "an alien" in your own body and missing the person you used to be

And yet, most of what we hear about menopause barely scratches the surface.

Googling or guessing usually leaves women feeling more frustrated, not more informed.

That’s where tracking your symptoms comes in.

When you can actually see what your body is doing over time, things start to make more sense — and you’re able to have better, more confident conversations with your

provider.

That’s exactly what our 4-Week Symptom Tracker was created

to help with.

Not ready to decide yet?

If you’d like to ease into this, you can start with a short preview of our symptom tracker.

The 4-Week Symptom Tracker :

A simple place to start

You don’t need to figure everything out today.
A simple place to start is noticing patterns with your symptoms.

  • How often do you experience insomnia?

  • How many times per month do you feel sad and hopeless?

  • How many night sweats have you had this week?

Not sure of the answers?
That’s why we created a downloadable 4-week Symptom & Mood Tracker — something you can use quietly, privately,

and at your own pace.

If you prefer

Why I created Menopause HQ™

Angela Black

Founder of Menopause HQ™

Even with a BS degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Maternal and Child Health, I was still NOT prepared for how menopause changed my body.

I couldn't remember ANYTHING.

My body felt like it was betraying me.
My blood pressure, cholesterol, & blood sugar skyrocketed.

Depression and high anxiety hijacked my brain.

No one had ever told me that declining estrogen could impact ALL of that. All I’d heard about were hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.

What I didn’t know — and what many women still don’t know — is that there are over 50 possible symptoms associated with this transition.
 OVER. FIFTY!!!

I remember thinking:

Why didn’t anyone tell us this? And I felt so alone...

So I created Menopause HQ to help empower, support, and educate women during this time in our lives.

Menopause HQ™ blends medical understanding with real-life experience — because women deserve information that respects both their bodies and their lived reality.
